What is Raw Hair?
Raw hair, is hair that was put in a ponytail, cut near the nape from “one” single donor. The hair is in its 100% natural state; it hasn’t been manipulated by heat or chemicals to get its texture or pattern.
What is the lifespan?
Raw hair can typically last you 5+ years depending on your dedicated routine of hair care.
Why do many celebrities prefer raw hair?
Raw hair is top tier in the market. It doesn’t get better than 100% single-donor human hair. The hair remains in its natural state, retaining its original color, texture, and quality. The quality is unmatched.
Can I dye or bleach the hair?
Yes, the hair takes color effortlessly. This hair will lighten to a #613 (light blonde) with ease.
I’m not of African ethnic, can I wear this hair?
Of course you can!
Why is this hair so expensive?
Raw hair is unique. No one in the world will literally have the same exact textured pattern as you! Its availability is limited. Again, your investment can last you 5+ years, resulting in you being able to save money over time.
Is “Brazilian hair” really a marketing tactic?
YES, there are not enough Brazilian donors to dominate and or supply the billion-dollar hair industry. Most hair comes from Indians and Asians, even though all vendors are not created equal. If it says "Brazilian hair,” or “Mink hair” it’s most likely chemically processed hair. IT IS NOT RAW.
What is the difference between raw hair and virgin hair?
Virgin hair is more affordable. Each bundle will have 2 or more donors which lowers the quality. Virgin hair is more prone to tangling and shedding at a higher rate (all hair sheds). Usually it is steamed processed to achieve textures, and it comes in a variety of textures. While raw hair comes in only straight, wavy, and curly.
How do you care for raw hair?
You MUST prioritize gentle washing using a mild shampoo and conditioner every 7-10 days, with regular deep conditioning. It’s best to avoid harsh chemicals like alcohol and sulfates. Always use a wide-tooth comb to detangle your investment starting from the ends and working your way up. Minimize styling with heat, but if you use heat, always use a heat protectant. Do keep in mind, this is 100% unprocessed human hair, so too much heat can cause heat damage, which results in breakage. For nighttime care always sleep in a satin scarf/bonnet or on a silk/satin pillowcase to reduce friction. Friction=Breakage. When not in use always store hair in a dry, cool place.
How can you tell if raw hair is authentic?
The appearance can vary depending on the donor’s natural hair. However, raw hair usually appears less smooth and less silky compared to chemically treated hair. Also the wavy and curly textures’ patterns are never uniformed, meaning it doesn’t have that perfect “S” wave. No one’s hair grows out of their scalp in that perfect “S” wave pattern you see online. Also you can do the burn test: take a few strands and burn them. If the hair turns to ashes it’s raw hair, and if it hardens like plastic it’s not raw hair.
How long is shipping?
Shipping will take up to 14 business days. That doesn’t include weekends and holidays.
Why do wig orders take longer?
Wigs are made to order.
What is Film Lace?
Film lace is undetectable and thinner than High Definition lace. Due to it being so thin and transparent, it is often used to make wigs for television and movies. It blends seamlessly with any skin color creating a realistic looking hairline that looks like it’s growing out of the scalp.
What is Swiss Lace?
Swiss lace is more durable which would have to mean it is thicker than HD and Film Lace, and seems to be a little more noticeable in comparison. However, it is still great lace. This lace is great for someone who has a unit (wig) that they like to wear everyday and or may be more active, i.e. like going to the gym. It is also more affordable.
